Eook— My Memory Travelling Book    5th, Dec.

<
Thinking behind the story What will happen after Hi-tech? / What the next step of hi- tech? When the screens become better and better and better…..?Use the new and green materials.

Interactive book?

How un-traditional papers influence and change people’s behavior?

Key words

Memory, Book, Travel

Major Function

  • Cell phone: EooK not only can be a cell phone, it also automatically remembers the dialed number in the database and documents all the called information on the ‘blog’ page.
  • GPS: Eook visualizes the database of the traditional GPS system.

It means your footprint will be left on the ‘Map’ page, such as your travelling route, the interesting places and restaurants you have been to, etc. Be sure you didn’t mark it by yourself. It is a magic.

  • Camera & Postcard Print: Eook can also be used as a camera and, save the photos into the database and show them on the ‘Photo’ page. The most fun part is you can put any regular paper underneath the ‘Photo’ page, it will print the photo as a postcard automatically for you.

Breathing Material_CactusPosted November 6th

How to make the materials which are used in consumer digital products more being more organic and healthier?

The radiation from Mobile Phones,Clock Radios,Computers,Under wire Bras,Photocopiers,Electric kettles,Beds,Hairdryers…etc  may cause cancer and other diseases .

So , I am looking for some healthy material  which can absorb the radiation and can be added into any materials.

Then, I found out cactus is a quite interesting plant .The spine of a cacti attracts charged irons and can change ionisation levels.

Now, cactus have being used in food, medicine, cosmetic, etc.

Project Two: DIY..Music Toilet-rollPosted September 26th

Inspirations:

I am trying to explore more fun and different interactive experience when people use the toilet-roll.

Because I noticed that people sometimes have no patience and feel boring when they are doing the simple and repeated action, like pulling the paper.

How about there is one music comes out when you are pulling the toilet-roll, and the sound disappears once you stop pulling the toilet-roll. I know some guy designed a automatic pulling toilet-roll machine. That’s awesome. But I don’t think this simple and natural pulling action should be replaced by the machine. J

Materials:

New reel, old music box, toilet-roll

Project One: Autopsy_OnionPosted September 19th

I am moving my eyes as a product designer to something new, trying to have fun  and exploring the layers and texture on a simple and organic product.:)

Dissection

Onions are available in fresh, frozen, canned, pickled, and dehydrated forms. Onions can be used, usually chopped or sliced, in almost every type of food, including cooked foods and fresh salads, and as a spicy garnish; they are rarely eaten on their own but usually act as accompaniment to the main course. Depending on the variety, an onion can be sharp and pungent or mild and sweet.

The onion is easily propagated, transported and stored.

In ancient Greece, athletes ate large quantities of onion because it was believed that it would lighten the balance of blood.

Evidence suggests that onions may be effective against the common cold, heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, and other diseases.

As onions are sliced, cells are broken, allowing enzymes called alliinases to break down sulfides and generate sulfenic acids (amino acid sulfoxides). Sulphenic acids are unstable and decompose into a volatile gas called syn-propanethial-S-oxide. The gas diffuses through the air and eventually reaches the eye, where it reacts with the water to form a diluted solution of sulfuric acid. This acid irritates the nerve endings in the eye, making them sting. Tear glands produce tears to dilute and flush out the irritant.
